Malted Maize (Corn)

This maize (corn) has been malted which gives a few interesting benefits.  

It's already gelatinized so you don't need to go to the trouble of boiling corn and dealing with the goop. In other words its ready to mash. 

Another advantage is its MUCH easier to mill/grind than standard dried corn.  Be careful though, yes it is malted, but it has little to no diastatic power/enzymes. 

All in all, this is a great alternative to dried corn when making a corn-based spirit like bourbon.
