Coriander (also known as cilantro) seeds are staple botanical for gin. In fact it can be pretty hard to find a gin that dose not have coriander.
When distilled Coriander adds a earthy citrus note. Unlike actual citrus peel this tends to show up nearer the back end of the flavour after you swallow.
