Oak, the magic part of aged spirits!

We learned the hard way that quality oak really does make a difference.

This US White oak was selected specifically for use in bourbon production, then yard-aged in Kentucky for 4 years. It was destined to become barrels but Ben from Badmo barrels got to it first!

Ben hand-cut it into staves and branded it with the CTC logo ready for you to age your own spirits.

It's suitable for use in any aged spirit. Bourbon, whiskey, whisky, single malt, rum, brandy etc.

The wood is raw with no char or toast. Leaving full creative control in your hands.

Each stick weighs approximately 47g. This is a natural product, expect some variance.

American Oak never smelled this good!

Parcel arrived within two weeks and was well packaged. The scent of the American oak is sweet with vanilla notes. I have other American oak and this maturation stick is way better quality. Very happy indeed! Thanks Erin and Jesse and have yourselves a kick as* week! ;)

Makes for great whiskey

Product as described and delivered quick. Smells amazing while toasting too, hope the flavors carry over to my whiskey!

Bake and burn baby!

Bought a set and figured out that unless you want a really aggressive oak flavor (worked great with my Irish style whisky but you wouldn’t want it with everything) just bake them at 180 degrees C for an hour or so then light em up and get some char. They work fantastic for small batches of spirits and vermouths that benefit from some oak aging. Great solution for the air still user
